Used the tractor to plow snow and everything was OK. Went out the other day to plow some more and couldn't get starter to engage. (dead)I have lights and lots of battery. I am thinking the netural switch. How does one check it. thanks for your time John

I would disconnect the ground cable and clean all battery cable connections until shiny and at the starter. You can jumper the neutral switch to see if its the culprit. Hal

Your problem could also be in the starter solenoid. Here's a wiring diagram that shows the
starter solenoid. Hal
PS: Some solenoids need to be grounded and may have a foot pedal that's used when cranking the engine to ground the solenoid. It's a safety
add on so your tractor won't move.
