I have problems reading the oil level on the dipstick.

I use synthetic oil that has no color and it is thin enough that
there is no "oil hump" visible on the dipstick.

I am thinking I will use a oxy/acetylene torch to turn the steel
dipstick rod to a blue color at this time.

I was wondering if anyone else encountered this problem and
what they used for a fix.

Lay the dipstick on a paper towel. only the area the oil is on will stain the paper.

Wipe the dipstick clean then rub the surface with a stick of white chalk, when you use the dipstick the oil will now show against the chalk.

Clean it up well and spray the dipstick with flat black engine paint.Oil becomes very visible.
