I got this for very cheap and I can not get it to fire there are a bunch of wires on lowwer left of engine that are not hooked up.I assume these go to the saftey .I have fire at plug and compression .It is blower gas fumes out of exhaust any help is appreciated

Remove the sparkplug and reconnect the plug wire then hold down the plug on the engine block and spin the engine over and see if there's fire at the plug electrode. If there's no fire replace the plug. Hal

Well if the plug is firing when you have it out with the lead connected, then it ain"t the wires. If you have gas coming out the exhaust, then it"s most likely flooded. Maybe the float level in the carb? Is the plug all wet when you take it out? Dry it out with a lighter and try it again with little or no choke.
