Pull mower

I have a 60 inch deere deck that I'm thinking about making a pull beside mower. What size motor you guys think would do? My Hydro static mower it was on had 23 hp. You think 18 HP????

Should be sufficient if all the engine is doing is powering the deck.

Before the pull mowers, I made a 7' pull behind mower. I used a 10Hp Tecumseh and it worked fine except in tall weeds. The belts would slip.

My 60" Swisher uses a 14 HP Tecumseh pulling 3 blades.
