to joe csuti do you think a 6hp kawasaki FJ180V-CS11-Rp would fit and work. has the heavy flywheel. don't want to junk it as it works great for triming around all the yard stuff. john bowers |

| | I'm not familiar with the kawasaki eng,the only thing I can say is take some carefull measurements on both eng & compare mounting centers & see if you have the clearance around eng to shoehorn kawasaki eng into space behind seat,if you can fit it in you may have to respot mounting holes & possibly rework cables/wiring to eng,at the very least you'll probably have to replace pulley(s)as existing pulley(s) have a 7/8" bore & the shaft on kawasaki is probably metric. Goto link below,click on repower old equipment,select jd from mfg on left side of pg,look at notes for mod 57,you might try contacting them about a replacement eng or see if they know if kawasaki eng will fit,they may have an update on eng replacement,but haven't posted it in repower section. |
