idkleine 11-21-2012 00:55:28 69.161.29.18 Report to Moderator	Hello there. This is a bit obscure, but I'm hoping someone out there has this info or can tell me where I should be looking for it. I have a older Economy Power King 1614 that I took apart a month or so ago and have been waiting for parts to re-assemble. It has tandem t92 transmissions and now that its been a while since I took it apart, I am confused about where a few parts go. They the 3 spacer type parts in the left of the pic. I don't remember if all 3 go between the transmissions, or if any of them go between the rear trans and the diff. And if they do go between the transmissions, in what order? I have all the manuals for it but it does not show where exactly to put these parts. It does tell me that the longer, larger coupler goes between the transmissions and the smaller one goes between the rear trans and the diff. It may not be crucial stuff, but I want it right. I know I should have paid closer attention and labeled these parts. Thanks for reading. [Reply]   [No Email]

Yes, the big coupler links the two transmissions and the smaller one would go from the rear tranny to the rear end. I didn"t use the spacer directly to the left of the big adapter. I had them in but that made the drive line too long and it wouldn"t bolt together. The washers just prevent the couplings from jamming onto the shaft somehow (again, going from a not so good memory). I think the lock washer was just a high tech way to take up some slack in the drive train. Use the washers for sure. You may find that you need the spacers and you may find you don"t. If they came out of there, they must be needed. I added a second tranny and these spacers were new and I found I didn"t need them. In the end, you want to minimize the play and that"s what all of these spacer are about. I"m pretty sure the washers only fit on the shafts so far so your spacer would go between the washer and the coupling. [Reply]  [No Email]

The longer, thinner spacer seems like the most significant of these parts as far as taking up play. I would be happy if I could verify its proper place at least. Thx [Reply]  [No Email]
