serial numbers

got a simplicity 725 can not find a serial number or model number has a sickle bar cutter on it anybody know where i could find them runs good all tin is good any ,needs paint any idear what it is worth thanks Paul

If it has a Briggs & Stratton engine, you can try to date it like that.

Look for Model Type Code numbers on the shroud or on an aluminum tag.

xxxxxx xxxx-xx YYxxxxxxx

YY would be the year it was manufactured.

If a different engine, someone might know how to date it using the numbers off the engine.
