There are people who hold FRAM filters in low esteem. In other words, if you are happy to pay cheap money for a cheap filter that is supposed to protect your valuable engine, then that's your choice. Apparently, oil filters are not created equal and you get what you pay for. When compared to the cost of a new engine or a rebuilt one....the price of oil and filters is much cheaper. |

You are so right Tom, Fram is the poorest oil filter made particularly their cheap line, but on the other hand Kohler B&S Kawasaki etc don't make oil filters they are contracted and as with any specialty product the price gets inflated, any good oil filter like Wix, Baldwin, Champion Purolator are as good as the engine branded ones.
