I am looking to find the right paint to put on a Midland garden tractor. The engine on it is a 1946 Clinton and I need to know the color the tractor, wheels, and the color the engine is suppose to be. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Here's a Midland with a Tecumseh engine. Is there any paint on your engine? The red in these Midland pictures look close to the PPG IH
paint code 71310 I used on my Troy Bilt tiller in 2006.

El Toro, here"s a tractor that I found behind my father"s barn when we were cleaning out the homestead. I had to cut a tree away from the tractor that had grown around it. I didn"t know the make of the tractor - now I do! What attachements were available for these?

I found those pics when I googled Midland tractors. Don't know what implements were available. Probably had a moldboard plow, culitvator maybe a sicklebar mower or reel type mower. Someone may have some old literature as to what implements were available. Hal

Our local auto parts store has PPG paint. You may be able to get it in acrylic enamel. Our store doesn't carry the PPG acrylic enamel and I used their Omni single stage paint with hardener on the Troy Bilt tiller. That paint code is for the IH color. We also have Dupont paint from one of our parts store. The IH Dupont paint code is 96766. I used their acrylic enamel light gold on my 1971 Wards garden tractor. I didn't use any paint hardener. It has always been sheltered. I used an epoxy primer and a paint surfacer over the primer. The blue was acrylic enamel from our local New Holland dealer.
Both paints sprayed and covered nice. I used Acme acrylic enamel thinner that I had on hand. Hal
