Look What I Found

I just found this on Craigslist, I only paid $300 for it.
It's a John Deere 140 hydrostat with 3 hydraulic ports.
It isn't running but the engine turns over, i just now got it home and i haven't done anything with it yet.
It has a Kwik-Way Gardenmaster Model G loader (i think).

Geesh, and you let him get away with low air in one tire and a need for one more cross link in each chain??

Looks like the loader passed the leak test.

I just had time to try and start it today, i found that the engine has a broken connecting rod

But i have a 18 Kohler 2 cylinder engine that i will measure and see if it will fit. The original engine also looks like the piston might be stuck, there is quite a bit of rust in side there.

That's a pretty easy engine to rebuild. Last one I did ran about 275 bucks including machine shop turning the crank, boring the block and grinding the valves.

Napa parts for Kohler are Kohler parts.
