| I had the same problem a few years back when I first obtained my F915. The parking brake was slightly engaged and was preventing the pto from staying engaged. I made sure the brake was completely release and that solved my problem. Jack |

| Deere uses an electromagnet to hold it engaged. Something in the safety circuit could be preventing the magnet from being powered and holding the handle, or the magnet itself can be bad. (Is correct) Right side under the seat, round flat thing is what holds it in gear. Look for electrical problems. |

| My dad had one with the same problem. His low tech way of "fixing" it was to make a wood wedge to put inbetween the lever and the hole and use the piece in while it was running. |

Either a spring is missing in reply to jamienky, 08-21-2012 09:17:02

| | Or a bushing/bolt for the pivot is worn out. Check the idler arm too. Not familiar with the F915 just generally speaking on engagement levers. Usually, after you push the lever past a certain point, it is supposed to "snap" to hold it in place. |
