Can anyone tell me how the ignition system on a standard walsh works. Picked one up but it has no spark. And also what would one be worth. It has the original manual, sickle mower, plow, harrow , and disk? Tractor is very nice shape and complete. Thanks

I never had one of those. I had a Viking and 6 StandardTwins back in the 60's and 70's and they had mags. Hal

Looks like a Model T Ford ignition spark coil. They had to "Buzz" when they were working. there's a place called "Ford Country", in New Springfield, Ohio, that may be able to fix that spark coil, or give you some info on it. Maybe fix you up with a new one, or even rebuild the old one. worth an inquiry. Rusty Jones

That was my thoughts that it looks like a Ford Model T coil, interesting ignition system for a walk behind garden tractor.
