I am posting this for my mother. She was giver her uncle"s grey and green Roto-hoe chipper. I think a model 500? It has a 5 hp. B & S. motor. I do not believe it has ever been used. It is spotless and super cool. My mom wants me to pull the engine and "scrap" the rest. I think it would look great with an restored garden tractor at a show. I m certain it is not rare......but I am also certain there is NOT another original this nice. I have no idea its age, but it has been in her possession for 15 years without being used. Can someone help give me a fair price to ask when I put her up for sale on Craigslist? Thank, Mark. If someone on here is interested, it is in Indiana. |

| Hi Mark,I responded to this post under impl alley The literature I have is dated 6/71 and I recall that would have been the first yr. The Nov 2,1970 price list shows a 500T (rigid tine)at 149. and 500H at 159.This with 3 l/2 HP Tecumseh or deduct $50 w/o engine. Now would now be worth more than that. Chuck |

| | Looks just like a regular chipper on a wagon. I searched Yahoo images and a few came up for sale. Not sure what model numbers they were tho. Try posting it on your local CL and see what happens. Start out higher so you can be haggled. Know your lowest price and stick to it. To tell the approximate age, find the Model/Type/Code on the engine. xxxxxx xxxx-xx yyxxxxxxx yy should be the year the engine was produced. |
