LX188 Oil and Battery Light Issue

My LX188 has a both battery and oil light coming on. The will come on and off and not always at the same time.
The unit has a new battery and I have not check the charging yet when running, correct me if I'm wrong, but should I see a 1 to 2 volt increase on the bat. voltage when the tractor is running?
I feel that its one of two things. One a bad wire connection or Two a battery key switch circuit board. I relplaced the board about 6 years ago as it was the prolbem when the mower would just shut down when running.

Any ideas out there? I know it comes down to elemination at this point. Any specs on oil pressure?

Jim

Should see 14.0-14.5 volts across the battery terminals with the engine at 1/2 throttle or better. I would install a pressure gauge to see what the oil pressure is. The sending unit may be defective. Hal

I wouldn't know what the pressure would be. Connect a pressure gauge that's 0 to 50 psi. Don't think it will peg the gauge. Hal
PS: If you can I would use 30wt oil. It will also get thin when heated in the Summer. I use that in my mowers and garden tractor. I keep it my garden even when cold. If it's too cold for it to start it's too cold for me to be out.
