would like to know value and if they are any good have chance to buy one that runs good and looks good i have a other tractors but no case thanks paul

The 222 was made from 1969 to 1988. It has hydraulic drive and is a true garden tractor in all respects.

Value will depend on many factors. Condition is the most important one and that applies not only to the cosmetics but to whether the 12 HP Kohler K engine smokes or not.

Another factor is whether this 222 has manual or hydraulic lift for the mower deck. Options that you might not notice will also affect the value. Wheel weights, tire chains, sleeve hitch, rear PTO etc are just a few .

One other issue is the year of the tractor because the 1969 and 1970 models are less desirable as a WORK TRACTOR due to the type of attachment system used back then. That changed in 1971.

So..... let me put it this way. An ordinary 222 that has no optional equipment but runs OK and needs nothing in order to go cut grass is worth at least $300.00.

Photos would make all the difference here.

You can e-mail me if you wish.

My 220 is 10 hp, its a work horse of a little tractor.

I bought it 10 years ago with a mower deck and snowblower for $500, running, ready to work. Never had a problem with it to this day. even though its a single stage blower, it performs as well as a walkbehind 2 stage unit.

The hydraulic drive took a few minutes of getting used to, its not quite the same as that hydrostatic drives everything else has. I find it has more torque and power, but it can be sensitive to the touch sometimes. especially when the rear axle is in high range. most work it does is in Low range, but for a quick drive to the neighbors to help with his lawn, high range is nice.

I have a 222 thats just as good, but uses a different attachment mounting system, and I don"t think I have all the parts to that, so I"ve just used it to haul my trailer and stuff around.
bought that one with a leaky rear end for $250. couple new seals and a gasket, and no more leak.
