Voltage on a JD snowbolwer starter

I recently bought a used, older JD snowblower that has an auxilary electric starter which is not hooked up. I am sure that it is 110-120 volts but is it AC or DC? I would like to hook it up to avoid pulling the rope.

If eng a tecumseh snowking or a briggs & starter 120v it will be AC.Tecumseh eng usually had a cord on it with a control box on end with a push button & 120v male cord connector or a rubber connector that plugged in with push button on it.

Thanks, Joe. I was to a JD dealer and they were looking through their books and couldn't find out exactly, but they thought it was 110 volts, so I'll try that. Thanks again.

Look over the top of the engine for 120 AC male plug. If you find it that's where you connect your female plug on a short extension cord. Should be a push button there for cranking the engine. Hal
