Hi ,

I'm trying to find parts for a Garden way Lazy boy 5 garden tiller . It is a model no. 12037. It has a Briggs 5 hp engine on it . Model - 135212, Type - 0172 01 , Code - 95021307 . So, assuming that this is the original motor, the tiller appears to be a 1995 app. model. I need the cable that runs from the handle bars to the gear box to engage the tines and a belt for it .
garden Way appears to went bankrupt in the earky 2000's and is out of buisness . Any ideas where I can get these parts or what parts that I can use in their place ? Belt isn't a real big biggie , but cable might be . Thanks for any and all help.

Try MTD they took over Gardenway. Hal
PS: Call your local Troy Bilt dealer to see if they can get them.

Thank you for your help . I went to MTD.com and searced for the model number and it brough up no results . I'll try Troy Built later tonight when I get my chores done for the day.

Tiller was probably built by parmi ind for garden way,which was bought by troybilt,parts may be a little hard to come by,you might have to contact troy bilt or mtd direct,mtd manual website doesn't show a owners/parts manual avail online,nor does partstree,jacks small eng show tiller in troy bilt listings.

But, again for some reason, I'm having trouble finding it. I went to the Jacks small engine site and looked under troybuilt ,nothing . Googled it and still nothing on jacks . Where and how did you find it on there ? I'm in south central Ky. I wish that I was retired and had more free time .

You got it right,I live in bridgewater,as far as jacks small eng site I have trouble with lookups also when it goes to parts listing on arinet,takes foever to load or not at all,I only use site as a backup & use partstree.com as my main lookup due to the fact they have larger listings & go further back in mod/yr listings & even they don't list your mod tiller,you can try doing goggle searche's & spend several nites prowling around the internet,try contacting troy bilt/mtd direct or check with local dealer,as a last resort check mcmaster or grainger online,you may be able to buy solid/stranded universal contol cable of the size needed by the ft and make a new cable assembly,might also be able to get ends for cable at either site if needed.

My friend is in nj every now and then , either passing through or dropping off or picking up a load to take somewhere . He hates the area around up that way close to NYC . Most truck drivers that I've talked to hate it too.
