yardman lawn tractor model and serial#

All,

I am trying to purchase a throttle cable for my lawn tractor, however the model and serial# are not legible. the motor is a Kohler MV20S-57526, serial# 2435312746. I am trying to use this number to identify the correct tractor. The tractor is hydrostatic.

can anyone help?

From the serial number on the Kohler engine you can find out what year the engine was made. You can then make a guess with-in a year or two of the year of the tractor.If you then go to a GOOD MTD dealer, they should be able to figure out what mower you have to get your needed part.
