briggs motor starves for gas when it,s hot out then dies

I have a craftsman lawn tractor 22 hp model 441777 it starts right up then 5min. to 45 min it runs an all of a sudden it acts like it runs out of gas then dies let it sit 5 min then it will start up what can i do to fix the problem . started when we had to start using 10%ethonol gas
 
Is this engine a Flat-Twin L head engine? If so you most likely need to replace the Magnetron coil. It is dieing from heat. If it will run longer time in cool weather than it does in HOT weather definitely the coil.

When it quits pull off a plug asap and see if your are getting fire to your plugs. Do this before engine has a chance to cool. If the fire to plug is ok I think you have a fuel problem. If you're using a fuel filter I would change it.
That alcohol may have ruined the neophrene diaphram
in the pump. If that carburetor has a main jet adjustment sc/ew you need to open it. Like the one on my old Toro mower. Hal

The last time I checked he said they had sent the decals and this has been several weeks ago.
I just called him and he said Ed's wife told him they were in the mail and that's been 3 weeks ago. He's already cashed the check. Still no decals. Any ideas? Hal
 
Only thing I can say is check with Ed as to how they were shipped,if ups,fedex or priority mail he may have a tracking number for same,also if same was insured & co-worker not home to sign for & shipper didn't leave a notice or same may have blew away in wind/got mixed in with junk mail & thrown out,also have him check where sent to(name,address & zip)

Ed's wife told him they were mailed. You would get a notice in your mail if the package had to be signed for. They would hold it at the Post Office for you to pickup. I'll let you know what happens. Hal
