Hi Majorman, Iam restoring a Fordson Dexta tractor and wold like to know the correct
colour of the front grills. The tractor was made in Febuary 1962 and it has a diff
lock and a seperate ignition switch witch I belive this dates it as post 1961. It
stll has the pnumatic govened injiction pump witch changed to a Minimec pump in
april 1962. Iam restoring it for my wife and hoping to have it finished to take to
the Stradsett Park Rally as I will be doing the commentry again. Thanks in advance

Hi MJ, grills were silver until 1963 when they changed to New Performance Grey.

Will you be at the East Anglian Vintage Day in April?

We are having a bit of trouble with thieves here at the moment, some kind person has nicked my TS1013 Robin plough and my 3 ton High Tip trailer in the last week.
 
Hi Majorman, the annoying thing about stealing things like that it could be another tractor collector who is taking them. In 2001 I had my pickup and trailer with my wifes restored 1950 David Brown Cropmaster tractor taken from outside our bungalow one night. I will not be able to get to the East Of England show as I have a local event that weekend. Thank for the info on the grills as I would be in trouble with the wife if someone told her I had painted them the wrong colour. Michael.
