I am in the process of helping a friend rebuild his Fordson Tractor. First a little background. The casting numbers on the transmission case (K13Y) indicate August 1953. The engine appears to have been replaced as it has no engine number near the #1 injector but has a casting numbers (M6X) to indicate Oct 1956. However a hand stamped number is present on the engine above the starter location (1263543) that matches with transmission dates. Here is my issue, the camshaft and the crankshaft are toast, finding a replacement crankshaft appears to be no problem. But I have been unable to locate the correct camshaft. It would appear the camshaft is the "3 hole" variety? Ans all the replacement ones I can find are of the "1 hole" type. Will this one work with just replacing the gear? Any help would be great.
