Hello all; It has been a frustrating day.....Power went off at 5:30 this morning and has only recently came back on, I have not eaten enough, its very hot and humid and I am not thinking clearly to get this problem sorted out.
I have here a Super Major that had injection pump issues. I was in a hurry (Never a good thing) and didn't get it set up as well as I should have to remove the pump. The pump came back from the shop set up to inject #1.
I removed the rocker cover and roll the engine over to get #4 valves rocking which should have #1 on TDC right? I then check the timing mark on the flywheel. I believe I should be looking for 23 degrees but cant seem to get the pump marks close to matching. I am certain I am on TDC Compression for #1 (#1 is at the fan end right?) I have a good flow of fuel to the pump (it has had an electric pump installed) and there is good air free fuel to the injectors.What am I doing wrong?
