Fordson help simms pump

I acquired a fordson after Many years of visiting with the owner 10+ ! I am having problems identifying it even after searching all the posts. It is Yellow with 4 cyl diesel wide front. Pictures to follow as i figure out how to post! My helper says I need a different injection pump. It has a Simms #SPE 4A 70-5296 on it.On the pump, I need to know what pumps might fit, or how to tell it will be usable, as in Minnesota we have a Pioneer Power Swap meet this weekend and I could get Lucky. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advance S.D.HeideckerMBA

Why does he think you need a different injection pump? A lot of people blame the injection pump for problems that are not the fault of the pump! Does it run?

A little more information would help, most Fordsons with diesels in were either blue and orange or blue and grey. Yellow ones were
usually industrial units. Until we know what you have we cannot offer advice although I would agree that your mechanics advice could
be suspect.

Either behind the starter, on the flange of the gearbox or under Number 1 injector is a number, it could also be on a plate on the
engine side of the fire wall/ battery box. If you quote this number and any short numbers like A14V or 4H7 that are on all cast
parts, we can tell you what year/day/month your tractor was built.
