The Fuel pump on my Dexter started leaking so i purchased a rebuild kit. when I took the pump apart the diaphragm flew out and i did not did not get to see exactly how it goes back together.

The question is does the tab on the bottom of the diaphragm fit into then slot on the link, or ride on top?

The second question is does the rocker arm go under or over the cam when reinstalling the pump.

I got it all back together but all most no fuel pressure at the injector. and I'm trying to find what i may have done wrong!

The pump has the pump leaver on the side.

hello, i have a 61 dexta for about 10 years. when my fuel pump went bad i just bought a new on, probably not much more than a repair kit. never a problem since. you may also want to post on fordsontractorpages.nl to inquire about other issues in the future. best-0-luck brownsmule in NC

Tab goes through the slot and lever rides on the top of the cam. The pump you are working on will have nothing to do with the
injection pump, it is solely to ensure a flow of fuel under about 7-10 psi is reaching the injection pump.

if you have had the fuel lines off to remove and repair the lift pump you will need to bleed the air from the system from the bleed
points on the top of the filter and again on the side of the injection pump just under where the pipes fit. Until you do that the
injection pump will not pump fue to the injectors.

Thanks for the help. I bled the air from the filter and on top of the injector again and she started right up.

guess i was in too much of a hurry.
