Hi. I have a 59 power major engine 220 diesel. I have an opportunity to by an old loader with a blown perkins diesel.my question is will the major diesel bolt up to the loader trans or is it a lost cause? Figure it would be a great repurpose for this engine. Thanks in advance

The Major engine was used in many applications like you suggest but most used an adapter plate. Some Perkins engines were used in the early Major around 1953-54 to convert the petrol/kerosene version of the Fordson Major E1A (your Power major is an E1A) to diesel and again these used an adapter plate.

These engines could come with adaptors to fit various Ford truck
transmissions.
