957E7005 T4 I believe this to be a 1961 fordson dexta, I have a aluminum trailer that can haul 3500#'s, would this trailer haul this tractor? it has a range from 3300 to 6000#'s

Yes you have a Dexta but the number you quote is a casting number and is the same on every Dexta. You need the number from the clutch housing flange behind the injection pump and a few casting codes like A12E or 3A16 Depending on year and we can date it to within days of production.

Your trailer is more than man enough for the job. I haul mine on a similar trailer and have covered thousnds of miles over the years.
 
forgive my ignorance regarding diesel tractors, i have always had ford gas tractors, a couple more questions, i am changing the oil and am dumping out the oil filter, there is a spring a quarter size gasket and a metal/rubber round thing, how do they go back together as i put in a new filter? i dropped everthing a want to make sure i get it back together properly? any pics or youtube videos out there, i have not not much on the fordson

here are some numbers, back axle 3G24, 3G18 on housing and 3G16 almost to block

i am still worried about the oil filter housing installed correctly, i can't seem to get used to the diesel motor sound, thinking the oil isn't getting to through the motor, the oil pressure gauge says almost 75

any help would be appreciated

Filter parts should be from the bottom: Spring, Metal rubber thing that fits onto the bottom of the filter. The small washer should go on the outside on the retaining bolt and there should also be a square section rubber ring that goes in a groove in the filter housing for the filter container to seal on.

Diesels are noisy compared to a petrol.

Your oil pressure sounds a bit high, could your gauge be out?

Your casting codes give July 1963, the day is the last number.
