I picked a super dexta diesel today that needs a new starter. I am looking for one that has a solenoid on the starter itself and will work with a regular key. Anyone have a recommendation?

Hello:
Part number, one of them is
S.60360 - Sparex STARTER, or K957340 (these are found all over the internet. Also fit David Brown.

Cost is $109 free shipping. Beat that.

I recommend that you send a note to DBelectrical off eBay, like I did and ask whether this will fit a 152 in Dexta and Super Dexta. I did that, and sure enough DB Pn 6572 works great.

Thanks WayneB. I found a older post on here where a Lucas m50 was used. I called complete tractor they said it would work. 110 with free shipping. Looking at my bill it came from db electrical. Hope it works.

I wouldn't mind a new key start starter for my super dexta. That price is pretty decent but I couldn't find it myself. Would you mind posting a link to that $110 starter? thanks Jerry

Jerry I called them looking for a replacement and to verify the m50 would work and that was the price they gave over the phone.

Was wondering did you buy that starter 6572 on ebay and how did it work out? It does not list that starter for a dexta was just wondering how it worked out. I need a starter also, thats a lot cheaper than the original one.

If you go to dbelectrical.com and search slu0002 it should pull up a starter #16608. It is 110 with free shipping. It worked great for me. It is a snug fit but other than that no complaints. It is a aftermarket version of a lucas m50

hank you for the info, I looked it up that's what i'm looking for. When you say that its snug what part of the starter is snug? Against the block, the cone of the starter in the bell housing?

Cone was fine. It went in all the way but I had about a 1/8 in gap between the flange on the starter and bellhousing due to the lip on the starter that centers the starter in the bellhousing. Hope I explained it clearly for you. I was able to pull it up with the bolts very easily.

Having a problem. I purchased a DB 6572 starter for my super dexta from DB electrical. The bolt pattern and cone diameter is not right anyone have any ideas to help me. I have a freash motor and would like to use a gear reduction starter.
