A friend has a Fordson Model F. It is missing the carb and water type aircleaner. What is the correct carb for this tractor. He also has a PTO unit for this tractor that he would sell.

For the Fordson F, the carburetor required depends on what type of manifold your friend has. There were three OEM variants: the 234, the 285 and the 295. Each used a specific Holley carburetor/vaporizer. (Other [aftermarket] manifolds [e.g., Waukesha] were equipped with carburetors of their manufacturers' own design.)

If you can post a picture of the manifold, that'll allow us to see which carburetor/vaporizer is called for.

Complete manifold/carburetor assemblies, ready to bolt on, can be purchased from The Fordson House in Escanaba, MI or from Rosewood Machine & Tool in Rosewood, Ohio, but bring your checkbook -- they're spendy.

Regarding the PTO: Is it a belt pulley? Again, a photo would be a great help.
