Been looking at a Dexta. The rear main seal leaks rest of tractor is nice! I was told you have to have all kinds of special tools to remove the clutch and flywheel to put the seal in and put it back together again! Can any one tell me if this is true? How do you change the seal?
Thanks!

The Dexta is one H88L of a tough tractor and you do not need loads of special tool to work on them.

The tractor has to be split to fix the oil leak and the clutch and flywheel removed. The oil seals are composite halves of a cord that pushes into two housings behind the fly wheel which have to be removed to fit. Very simple job if you are mechanically minded and have a jack and a means of lifting and moving the two halves apart.

Saying that how ever, are you sure it is engine oil? The gearbox can leak oil down the internal PTO to clutch shaft, there is a small seal up the end of this shaft.
