Fordson SUper Major Power Steering

I am working on rebuilding the hydraulic ram for the power steering and am having issues removing the castle nut at the end near the axle.

The bolt was spinning, and so I removed the end cap only to find a ball and there does not appear to be a spot to hold against as you turn the nut.

Any suggestions?

Also, anyone know where a replacement ram can be obtained if I cannot rebuild this one?

Any information is much appreciated here.

Put a pry bar under the cylinder and pry up while
someone turns the wrench.Sometimes just the
friction will hold while you do this.
