Just for interest

Hi Hope you dont mind me putting this on the Fordson page. I saw it today at the Tank Museum at Bovington UK. its a Hornsby Chain Track as used in the First World War. This one seems to be Circa 1912. But that is subject to some conjecture. Mike

Follow Up. Hornsby actually made the first tracked tractor in 1904 by converting an existing wheeled machine. At best it produced 105HP. They sold the patent to Holt in 1911. Holt later merged with Best and 'caterpillar' as we know was born. The name came from its nickname in the trenches 1914/1918.Mike
