Well I went and tried to buy it for 1500, and he told me he wanted at least 3000, I thought no way your nuts! Guess I'll try in another year or so, I just thought it was kinda neat.

Sorry to hear that. Go back and tell him to get it running/ driving and you would be a bit more interested in it at $2500. you won't be out of pocket then, and he might realize what a generous offer you made! . sounds to me that sentimental value is higher than scrap price again L.O.L. I meet these guys all the time so I'm use to it now. I bid a guy $500 for a tractor with bent fenders, flat tires, no starter , water in the oil pan, and 3 point missing. I wanted a couple of nice parts from it. Guy just about called the cops, said it was worth $2000 as is. I saw it advertised for best offer online a year later, and thought no way I'am calling buddy you had your chance with my money. A Guy asked me about parts soon after, guessed it was that tractor from what he wanted. I asked what he bid if he didn't mind me asking. He said the guy about took my arm off at $500, and couldn't help load it fast enough!.
Regards Robert

This is one of those guys that doesn't care If it sits or not, as soon as something goes wrong he parks it, he has equipment all over, where they shutoff is where they sit, they won't ever move again.
