derek,
who built the backhoe attachment? Ford or sherman are the two i have come across. I own a 61 supermajor with a ford loader and hoe. The factory fard hose fittings are available from ford/new holland but are about $35 each. I had a guy look at mine and he discovered that the valves and cylinders are double seated. They will accept standard sae fittings. I replace every hose except 2 on mine with the standard fittings and haven't had a problem in the 1 1/2yr since. If you want a picture of the new fitting email me and i'll send it to you. good luck

It turns out that the 713 fittings are called "O-ring Port", a type of fitting that was widely used in automotive applications such as air conditioning lines (only smaller). See the link I provided (the Ford 723 backhoe was an updated 713 but basically the same). Tisco has an adapter to JIC and I recently discovered that discounthydraulichose.com now has an O-ring Port adapter that I think would work although I haven't tried (noted as a Ford adapter). If you have a hose crimper and want crimp-on ends those could probably be found as O-ring port somewhere.
