I have only rebuilt one Dexta and pulled head to unstick another, hone & replace head: here"s my take on dexta engine rebuilds:
1. Engine must be pulled for rebuild. This is due to liner design. A machine shop needs to peel bore the old liner out and press in new - then bore the pressed liner to fit the piston.
2. Book is clear on assembly.
3. Invaribly. Rebuild all to 152 pistons.
4. Rear main seal can be done w/o pulling engine.
5. The rebuild you do likely will be the last you do. Do it right.
