1928 Fordson

Hi just picked up an Irish Fordson from a friend,what shade of grey is it supposed to be? also was wondering what if any wheels fit on this to take off the steel.I also was wondering if being an Irish made it a little more rare.Thank You.

When Henry Ford shut down his tractor factory in Dearborn, he shipped the tooling to Ireland. They improved it by using an external magneto. The production in Ireland was quite low and the tooling was moved again to England in about 1932. All the rubber-tired wheels used on English Fordsons up to 1945 should fit. In the US, F&H and Electric Motorwheel made after-market rubber tired wheels. They are getting hard to find. Most farmers just cut off the spokes and welded rims to the stubs. If you want to save your original wheels, it should be a lot easier to find used cut-offs.
