4xfergie 09-30-2012 06:04:21 121.219.162.94 Report to Moderator	I need an operators manual for a Ford Dexta. It look like the one in the photo except the lights are on side of radiator cowl. I have only seen it briefly as it is on a mates property which is in a remote mountain location. Details I do know, 3 cyl Perkins, single stage clutch, diff lock. As I am the one who knows how to fix stuff I will be servicing it next visit and fixing a few things. I have acquired a workshop manual on CD, but know little about Dextas, being a Fergie owner. When I seen the tractor briefly it had a piece of rope attachec to the PTO lever .... you quessed it .... the PTO jumps out of mess when slashing. Is this typical, if so what usually goes wrong and how is it fixed. I plan on changing the gear/box/hydraulic oil and removing the pump cover etc. for a look. [Reply]   [No Email]

As the tractor is a 41/2 hour drive into the mountains from our workshop and I don't fancy splitting her in the mountains that far from civilisation. Thinking back the pto shaft was very dry looking, this is the trouble when plant is operated without basic knowledge and care.   [Reply]  [No Email]
