Another question! Can anyone tell me where the dipstick and/or the filler is for the hydraulics on this old girl? It was easy to find on my N, but it"s a mystery to me on the Major!
 
The hyd pulls oil from the rearend and that dipstick is left of your gearshifter. The filter is a screen that can be washed out and reused and it is located in th bottom of your rear end. The drain plug treads the housing that holds the sceen.
