Is it normal to have diesel fuel in the engine oil? I am gaining oil level when I checked the engine oil on my 1952 Major. When I drained the oil I got a little less than 10 qt instruction book state capacity is 8qt's. If not what might be wrong?

You have the fuel line running under the rocker cover, check for leaks there FIRST. I just repaired one.As GAN and Robert says. surprised if it is not there.
You will note it returns to the fuel tank.

Check the return line from the top of the injectors.

Hi on a 52 Major you don"t have to worry about the injection pump seal leaking in to the timing case as it is connected with an external shaft to the motor. it could be the diaphram leaking on the lift pump and eventually it will pull air in the system and quit running. The other common problem is that the injector leak off rail under the valve cover fractures at the joints and lets fuel in the oil pan, To see this you have to take the cover off and run the motor and look for the leak. What ever it is needs sorting now as I have seen many good motors destroyed with diluted oil seizing the cranks.
Regards Robert

It is not OK, injector pump seal, or lift pump seal is probably bad.
