Fordson Super Major Engine?

I have a Timberjack log skidder, and was told that it had a Fordson Super Major engine in it. Engine needs an overhaul, and I'm wondering if a Super Major overhaul kit will work? The serial number on the engine is S360817. If a fordson kit from this site will not work, does anyone know where I could order a rebuild kit for it?

If its a Fordson Major/Super Major engine, you might like to checkout "The Fordson Tractor Pages" at "fordsontractorpages.nl" Then look at both the "New Major" and "Ford & Fordson conversion" forums. TSG.

looking at the S/N It would be a 1960 Super major by yt"s S/N listing IF it is a 220. Are there any casting numbers visible on the engine? Maybe something in the 2700 range? I"m thinking you have a late 60"s early 70"s vintage skidder. That would be a 258 cu in I think. Maybe someone more knowledgeable than me about these will chime in.How about a model # of the skidder?
