1963 Super Dexta Simms Injector Pump

My Simms Injector Pump leaks oil rapidly. Is this a difficult repair? My tractor is off site and not readily available.

Where is it leaking from? The only oil is 1/3 pint in the governor usually.

As best I could determine it is around the shafts (bushings? seals?) that come out of the side near the bottom. Oil leaks all over that area.

I have a 64 Dexta and I have the same problem. There are seals on the front and back side of the throttle shaft. I broke the housing where the inside seal goes and it leaks. The pump must be removed to get to the iboard one. I used o-rings on mine. Hope this will help. They sure get messy.

Thanks, that may well be my problem. I need to add oil about every other day.

I replaced the O-rings in mine as well. Be sure to mark the timing gears so you don't have to go through the timing procedure for the pump when you put it back on the tractor.
