Well, another question for the Dexta experts.
My dexta has the fuel tap & primer on the lower left side of the tank as it should. However, when I push the button it moves about a quarter of an inch and then stops hard.
I'm not even sure the thing is working. I plan to pull the glow plug and see if that is glowing/heating as it should this afternoon. At the same time I'll check the pump & see if it works.
If it dosn't, does someone have a source for either a replacement or a rebuild kit? -or- is there a work-around for the problem?
This old tractor was owned by a guy who ALWAYS started it with ether and I hope that it still has good rings in it.
I does run well when it starts but it is VERY hard to start. Runs the battery down almost every time and I have to put the charger on the start cycle to get it going.
Advise?
