can this tractor burn biodiesel?

I'm glad that you fixed the problem.
I don't see what it would hurt to burn biodiesel. The fuel system is pretty basic. I've never used biodiesel myself, but I've been told that you will need a few extra fuel filters when you first start using it and it gels at a lot higher temp. than diesel.

when you say it gels at much higher temp than fosel fuels are you saying that it cant handle lower temp?

Yes. That's what I meant. I don't know the exact temps, but I know it doesn't work well in cold weather, unless you mix it with something else, or use a tank heater. It also varies, depending on what type of oil it was made from.
