Wow, been reading about Ford tractors for 3 days now. Still considering a friends old 871. It has a loader on it and three different attachments for the pto to go with. From what i can tell the SOS must work in all 10/2 gears or i should run away. When we fire it up I will give it that test. The front loader has a Ford tag on it."Power steering" on the wheel. Good tires. Friend said it is a four wheel drive. Could it be? #98407 So it's a 1959? Oh and if anyone has the time, what's the proper way to fly this plane? L. Thank you for any help |

| Yikes, I haven't a clue how to put a picture on a computer yet. Took a few on a telephone and compared it to the history of Fords pictured and checked out the model/make # so I am sure that it is a 871 power master. Well at least it started out that way. It is not pretty, however it is not a train wreck either. From what i have read it sounds as though i should take the Front loader off. Do you know if that pertains to this tractor or only to the older and show ones? I'll see if someone can help transfer pictures tonight. Do you have one too? L |
