Got Stupid!!!

Got stupid today and bought a 1960 Fordson dexta in so-so condition. It will need some tinkering odds and end parts, shift knobs, gauges, key switch, tach& cable,chrome emblems,radator neck and cap,,and a coat of paint!!! It is suppose to run??? The Tires are fair the paint is weathered and the tin has a few small dings. The man that owns it is a friend of mine and I gave $450.00 for it a lot less then he gave a year ago when he bought it to restore and gave up. So did I get burnt?????? But the main QUESTION where can I get new parts????? Used parts???? Engine parts??? What is the good news about this tractor???? What is the bad issues about this tractor????? Thanks for the info!!!!
 
Can"t be stupid if you got a Dexta!!!No problems in gettting parts for them either. If you can"t get them from a CNH dealer,try Agriline, Bareco or Vapourmatic.Most of these tractors are 50 years old now,most common problems with Dexta"s are Lucas electrics and worn steering boxes.You might want to have a look at "fordsontractorpages.nl" and go to the "Dexta forum".(Petrol Dexta"s are quite desirable.)TSG.
