One of the grease nipples [zerks to some] on the rear axle housing has blocked, it is a press in type,, is there a particular way to remove it or is it just a matter of drilling. any views would be appreciated.

Have you tried to put some heat on it and put grease gun to it and punp. This will some times open the pluged fitting.

I saw a tool at one of the farm shows that you filled with grease and smacked with a hammer and it would clean them out. Heat usually works though.

Hi. Is the little internal ball stuck upp or down. If its tight up I have used a very hin nail and a hammer and tapped it free. Then spray some WD40 or the like into the top of the nipple. Most times it will free itself. if its stuck down use a gently heat if that fails the only way I,ve found is to twist it with a pair of grips and replace it. Because if it is down you cant get grease past it.
Incidently where possible I tap the holes a fit screw in type, but thats rare. Luck.
