Hilltopper 11-09-2010 13:35:16 4.159.56.216 Report to Moderator	You probably need to adjust the mechanism. Be sure the pedal can go all the way to right foot rest. Disconnect the spring loaded operating rod from the operating lever. There is an adjusting screw in the axle housing. Back off the lock nut. Position the operating lever so the fork inside just touches the sliding coupling.(You can feel this) Turn the adjusting screw in until contact is made with the operating fork then back the screw out 1/4 turn and tighten lock nut. You need to block up the right wheel and turn it while pushing down on the operating lever. Hold the operating lever in this position and with the foot pedal against the foot rest adjust the length of the spring loaded operating rod so pin can be inserted through the operating rod yoke and operating lever. Then shorten the rod 2 turns This will remove all slack in the mechanism and it should work. The problem I have with mine is I cannot get my foot on the pedal as it is in the way of the lift quadrant. I hope this helps I copied it out of the manual. [Reply]   [No Email]
