LOL! I made the gentleman a fair and reasonable offer for his old "semi-collectable" (if you will) British imported tractor and nothing more. Perhaps you are jealous that I took the inititave to make the offer? I've seen decent running and working Ford 6000 diesel tractors sell all day long for around $1,500 - $2,500, even at the dealerships. As another gentleman has pointed out, there are reasons for that - including parts availability and expensive problems to fix. So, my good man, if you had any idea what you were talking about, you wouldn't have made your comment. Luigi, if you can tell me how buying a broken Ford 6000 for more than what I offered makes any sense, then by all means, perhaps YOU'd better buy it. Please don't give me any nonsense about it's scrap value either. Not everyone thinks that old iron should be scrapped. I bought a working and running 1950's pickup truck a few months ago for $150. Yep. Now, we all know that it's probably worth double to triple that at the scrap yard, but the owner and I didn't want to see that happen to such a restorable piece of history be destroyed. (Believe it or not, the almighty dollar is not #1 priority in everyone's mind.) I like to preserve history when I can, but I'm not rich. Take care bud.   [Reply]  [No Email]

My understanding of the 6000 tractors Is that the only part of this that has anything to do with the U.K is the diesel motor Or parts of it like fuel injection. Not wishing to be rude but I was born in the U.K and we never had them over there from new . only the recent imports by collectors. So unfortunatly I think this wonderfull tractor is a made in the U.S.A screw up L.O.L Sorry guys!   [Reply]  [No Email]
