Many thanks for that picture! That starts another interesting search for information about these little tractors.

You have not found the casting numbers though, the ones you show are the same on all Dextas as they are casting mould numbers.

09D gives 1964 so your casting codes should be something like "4D6"

Keith, I have taken the liberty of raising this subject on fordsontractorpages.nl and have used your picture of the number.

We have members world wide and have found tractor information that was not available anywhere else. Hope you do not mind

Thanks MajorMan, Don't mind using picture to clear up this mystery. Also I will get the casting no. today and post them later
We are just trying to make sure of date for ordering parts we will need for engine over haul.

Again thanks
Keith

Keith,
From Fordson date codes I have seen listed on other sites it looks like those pieces were cast Nov 13/63, Oct 14/63 and & Nov 5/63.
Probably makes this tractor a very late '63 model, as cdmn noted.

If you get a chance, I really would be interested to see what the engine serial number is (Stamped on left front side of block, back of coolant outlet) and the numbers cast between the 2 frost plugs, again on the left side.

Thanks,
Les

That means they were cast in September/October 1963. She would have been assembled within a couple of months of those dates. So your "D" is most likely a "C" making her a 1963 tractor.

I have rechecked my data and realised I made an error. The numbering is rather confusing and they went back to 90 in January 1964 after reaching 934XXX in December of 1963. So your tractor is a Novenber 1963 which would line up with the casting codes.

Thanks everyone for your help. Now my friend can start ordering parts for this tractor. This is going to be a working tractor.

Thanks
Keith
