I HAVE FORDSON DEXTRA WITH A SIMMS INJECTOR PUMP. THE OVER FLOW ON THE BOTTOM HAS A GOOD STREAM OF FUEL COMING OUT WHEN RUNNING IS THIS NORMAL OR DO I NEED TO DO SOMETHING TO FIX IT. PLEASE EMAIL ME IF YOU CAN HELP THANKS ALOT

Sounds like the pump needs to be rebuilt. These pumps are lubricated with diesel fuel so an occasional drip is common, but a steady stream means that the plungers are most likley worn and leaking fuel past. Dandy Dave!

The lift pump on the side of the injection pump probably has a failed diaphram. This is the most likely cause of a major diesel leak. Change this pump first and see if that cures the problem.

Majorman is right, check the primary fuel pump first as the pump is mounted to the side of the Dexta injection pump and will leak fuel into the pump if the diaphram has a leak. On my Power Major, the fuel pump is mounted on the engine block so it cannot leak into the injection pump like the Dexta. Dandy Dave!
