Fordson Major engine identification

I've been looking through the discussions in this forum and am very impressed so I am asking for your help in identifying an stand alone engine. Iwas told the engine was a Fordson Major (no other info). The head gasket was leaking so we had the head shaved and the injectors rebuilt. We are now trying to get it put back together but are having trouble finding parts like exhaust/intake gaskets and especially the injector seals (injector inlet adapter to cyl head seal). We have been working with a local New Holland dealer with no luck. They say they need more info than the numbers we have given them from the engine (they want a tractor model and year). So we are hoping someone can help us identify what tractor it came from along with any other pertinent info.
The numbers we have are a stamped number from below the No. 1 injector - S171621, a block casting - EIADKN6015 D, casting stamps in the head - FoMoCo FL with numbers 6050J and J5167, a stamped number on left side of the engine that I have read are date related - P 2 C, it has a Simms injector pump - SPE 4A 75D 515. We need these to try and find inj seals. Any help will be greatly appreciated since we are new to the Fordson and totally lost. Thank you.

Thank you for your response. I have looked at some charts in the site you suggested and have to admit I am having a bit of a problem putting them together. Based on the P 2 C date related number it makes that engine a 1959 model but the stamped serial number at the top of the block S171621 seems to be indicative of 1962. Also, according some other discussions I have read, and as cdmn has pointed out in his reply, the FL on the head seems to be pointing to like 1963. Is it possible that this engine is not from a tractor and maybe like an industrial engine or something? Is that something we can tell by the numbers we have available? Or maybe the head is not orginal to the block?
 
Hi Duane- Yes the S prefix was used on the industrial Fordson motors in Air Compressors Etc. They were still produced after the Fordsons finished so it could be a later motor. These blocks also got into circulation through exchange motors. With the FL they are as late as you will get. Some of them were produced in Spain also. regards- Michael.
 
Duane, not uncommon for Major's to be repowered with industrial Fordson engines.Another posibility could be that you have a later Ebro engine in your Major.Ebro built Majors under liecence from Ford ,as the Ebro Super 55 and Ebro 155.TSG.
 
The serial number under No 1 injector is no help unless you go to a Ford Industrial Dealer. There is no information available to aid dating with these "S" numbers.

"FL" indicates a 1962 - 1964 Super Major engine but it could be later. The head may have been "transplanted" on an earlier block. Is the injection pump a "Minimec"? or does it have an industrial governor or even a vacuum governor?

The injector seals are the same on all engines of this type back to 1952 and the later head gasket can also be used.

Your casting code does indicate an earlier block, casting codes from June 1963 were "number/letter/number". It is unusual for these to be stamped, they were normally part of the mould and changed daily.
